About the Session:

This session will get you started in developing microlearning solutions that will engage your learners. Peter will focus on key concepts when beginning your approach with microlearing such as narrowing your scope and being topic centric. He’ll show you how to expand your solutions by using compelling visuals, giving supporting materials, and focusing on what matters most…your learners!

Peter's Bio:

Peter Vloyanetes is a learning technologist and media specialist. He has held a variety of positions throughout his business career from instructional technologist to business development. He is the founding partner for Compass Communications a media production company and is currently heads up the micro-learning and interactive video production practice for S&A Technologies.   He has designed and developed learning programs for online delivery for a wide range of business and educational clients.  His clients include organizations from academia, pharma, healthcare, telecom, financial, real estate, software, office equipment and consumer electronic products.  Peter specializes in the application of video for micro-learning.  He is currently researching best practices for the design, production and application of micro video content in learning and development.  Included in his research is how the 30 & 60 second communication model for TV spot advertising can be applied to micro-learning.

Additionally, he has over 30 plus years’ experience in the design and production of video for business training and marketing programs.  His expertise in video production include project management, scripting, directing video shoots and media training for executives.  Peter has an undergraduate degree in environmental science and a graduate certificate in instructional design for online delivery.  His hobbies and interests include fly-fishing, Greek Culture and cooking for friends and family.
