Leaving ADDIE for SAM
by Michael Allen

About the Workshop

The purpose of the Book Club is to review and have a dialogue of a recent book related to the Learning and Development professional.

Leaving ADDIE for SAM by Michael Allen also has an accompanying field book. The book focuses on Agile course development and other iterative processes that have introduced greater efficiencies in design and development, fostered more creativity, and addressed effective stakeholder involvement.

This book will be used as the basis for our first Professional Development hands -on workshop in 2015, to be held April 7th 2015. The facilitator will be Richard H Site, Ed.D who is Vice President – Training & Marketing at Allen Interactions. Richard leads the strategic vision of Allen Interactions’ (AI) custom development, career training, and authoring system, ZebraZapps. During the workshop, you will understand the basics of the Successive Approximation Model (SAM), and measure your organization’s readiness to follow a process other than the traditional ADDIE.

The book can be ordered through the ATD Bookstore.
