Kathy Sherwood

Kathy Sherwood is the former vice president of leadership and Organizational Development for Infopro Learning. Infopro Learning is one of the world’s leading providers of learning solutions and helps organizations rapidly transform talent by targeting performance and behavior change. She now continues to provide a broad range of talent development consulting services.  Prior to her role with Infopro, Kathy Sherwood was the founder and senior partner of Sherwood Learning Solutions from 1992 until 2015. Her firm (Sherwood Learning Solutions LLC) was acquired by Infopro Learning in 2015. Sherwood Learning Solutions developed and implemented first-class blended learning solutions for global clients serving more than 10,000 professionals each year in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Prior to starting her own firm, Kathy Sherwood was vice president of HR for a major retail group in which she headed the HR and learning and development functions for over a hundred sites. As a part of that role, she served as the Chief Affirmative Action officer for the firm.  Kathy Sherwood and the team of experts have created a wide range of custom training and communication initiatives, needs analysis, curriculum strategy, instructional design, program delivery, train-the-trainer programs and ongoing consulting and coaching to reinforce learning.  Training topics include management and leadership skills, communication, critical thinking, diversity and inclusion, employment law, project management, sales and customer service and teambuilding.

Rider Scholar and summa cum laude graduate. She also is a member of the Executive Learning Council of the Northern NJ Chapter of the Association for Talent Development.

Rick Sawyer is a leadership, learning and organizational development executive with a proven track record of creating strategies, programs and initiatives that develop engaged employees, effective leaders, and successful teams who achieve results. Rick’s expertise includes designing and facilitating strategic planning, learning, succession planning, high potential development, employee engagement surveys, career development, leadership team alignment, and performance management programs and initiatives.

Rick has held team leadership and internal consulting roles with companies such as Wyndham Worldwide, Mercedes-Benz USA, The Gillette Company, and Sterling Winthrop, Inc., and taught graduate school at Manhattanville College. Rick and his family have been expatriates in the U.K. and Mexico, and his work and travels have taken him to more than forty countries. A Marine Corps veteran, Rick has an M.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. from St. John’s University. 

Christine Troianello leads IQVIA Technologies Learning Solutions, at IQVIA. IQVIA, formerly Quintiles and IMS, is a 10.4B life sciences firm, with more than 58,000 people globally, headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey. In her current role, Christine is responsible for the development of a new, best in class training organization, that develops and deploys software training for IQVIA’s pharmaceutical customers, system integration and marketing agency partners, and for IQVIA Technologies sales people and global delivery organization. She also manages their externally facing learning management and other supporting systems.

Prior to joining IQVIA, Christine held global executive roles in learning and talent development at Prudential, Research in Motion, Alcatel-Lucent, Avaya and AT&T where she was responsible for major restructuring, learning transformation, global strategy, organizational development, managing global training development, delivery and technical writing operations, and outsourcing and off-shoring learning, translations and other operations.

Christine holds her MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, her BA in French and German and a Marketing Certificate from the Wharton School. She has been an adjunct faculty member and mentor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, New Jersey, worked as an executive coach and consultant at the Lead Life Institute and has been a facilitator in their women’s leadership program, WELL (Women’s Effectiveness in Leadership and Life). She is a contributing author of the leadership book, “How Women are Transforming Leadership” by Mary Lou Dècosterd. She is also a member and Past President of the Board of Directors and Executive Advisory Committee of the Northern New Jersey ATD (Association for Talent Development).

Maria Rivera has over ten years of Management, Sales and Technology Training, Project Management, Web Development, Video Production, and Training & Development (asynchronous and synchronous) experience in Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, and professional service organizations. She led strategic initiatives at The Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute - Baruch College as the Associate Director and also at CUNY School of Professional Studies/ACS Project as a Deputy Director. She is currently at NYU the School of Professional Studies as the Associate Director of the Management and Systems Graduate Degree Program and the Project Management Graduate Degree Program, as well as, the Management and Technology Noncredit Portfolio. She is doing development in Virtual Reality and has spoken about Virtual Reality training strategies at various events including the Trenton Computer Festival, and Vaughn College - “Women of Color Conference”.

She is a member of the Association for Talent Development and the National Speaker Association. She believes in the "Everyone wants to be Magnificent" philosophy and has enjoyed training hundreds of adult learners successfully over the years. She is a NYS/NJ Certified Real Estate Instructor. Giving back to the community is something that she always makes time to do. She participates in's Role Model Program and was involved in the HISPA/Verizon App Development Training project. She has also spoken at AT&T's HACEMOS Leadership conference, HISPA's Youth Conferences, Trenton Computer Festivals, and Learning conference.

She received her BA from Lehman College and her MA in Adult Education & Training from the University of Phoenix. She is also a Certified ScrumMaster®. She is currently pursuing an NYU Data Visualization Certificate and completing a NYT VR Certification.

Orlando Rivera is currently the president of which is an interactive development studio formed by indie artists and technologists who see new possibilities in integrating storytelling, instructional design, gaming, VR, AR, Mobile, and art. He has released consumer facing applications for iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, Unity3D/Oculus VR (coming Fall 2019) and major corporations like JPM Chase, ADP, InterCall (West Corp), IBM, AT&T, and Activu Inc.

He is involved in IOS, Video, Web, and VR Development projects at major fortune 500 companies. His blended educational background has helped him to lead and produce successful IT/New Media strategic solutions which include Film Productions, iPhone, iPad, Objective-C Flash design, elearning, Game development (Games & apps in Apple Store for iPhone, iPad, & Apple TV), Oculus, Maya, Unity3D, and development (both Client & Server Side), Video & Streaming technologies (IBM, Intercall, AT&T, QVC, J&J, Sony BMG). He was also the Technical lead who implemented the Next-Gen Chase Mobile banking app release in 2018 ( He has edited videos and created VFX for features and short films. He has been a Visual Effects Supervisor for indie feature films, shorts, 3D animations ( He holds a Bachelor of Fine Art’s degree in Film, Video & Animation from the School Of Visual Arts in NYC. He also received Systems and Information Technology from New York University.

He has presented Technology and Digital Media topics at various conferences including the, Trenton Computer Festival, Digital Film Instructor at Middlesex Country Vocational & Technical School, and Touro College.

He has taught middle school kids in NY & NJ how to code on Android devices for children in underserved communities. He has also served on the Advisory Committee on Computers and Education for New York State Legislation Commission on Science and Technology.

Pam Burns
Global Learning and Development Consultant

Pam Burns brings experience as a business owner and sales and marketing executive to her role as an Exec|Comm Global Learning and Development Consultant. She sells, designs and delivers experiential training programs to help professionals lead, present, meet, sell and write more effectively. Pam’s clients include: Prudential, Merrill Lynch, IQVIA, FINCA and CFP Board. She has delivered training programs throughout the US, Africa, Australia, India, Europe, the Middle East, and the UK. Pam applies her global cultural awareness to engage clients at all levels of organizations.

Training has always been in Pam’s blood. Before joining Exec|Comm in 2008, she owned Next Step Solutions, a proprietary systems training and development company that created and delivered classroom and online training for internal client systems. Pam was also Vice President of Product Development for ExecuTrain Corporation, an international computer training and support company. There, Pam led research, development, and delivery of classroom and online training tools.

Pam earned her B.A. in English from the University of Georgia – Go Dawgs! Pam volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and God’s Love We Deliver. She lives in Edgewater, NJ and loves walking by the Hudson River, discovering new restaurants, and planning travel adventures. Chuck Garrett
Director, Sales Training


Chuck Garrett has over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry and is currently the Director of Training at IQVIA for the Contract Sales and Medical Solutions (CSMS) team. There he manages a training team that supports over 60 different contract sales and medical engagement teams. Prior to joining IQVIA, he was the Managing Director for Informa Training Partners, a training content supplier in the pharmaceutical industry. As Managing Director, he was responsible for the operations for this pharmaceutical training (sales and medical) company, including writing/instructional design, project management, creative services, and technology teams. Prior to his time as a Managing Director, Chuck was the Director of Commercial Training at Celgene Corporation for the Hematology Division. He was responsible for leading a team of HQ and Field-Based Trainers that focused on Sales Representatives and Clinical Nurse Consultants across two franchises. While at Celgene, Chuck also served in the roles of Senior Product Manager in Marketing and District Sales Manager. He started his pharmaceutical career at Pfizer and was promoted from Sales Representative, to Institutional Sales Representative, and lastly to Senior Manager of Curriculum Development for the Sales Training Team. Prior to a career in Pharmaceuticals, Chuck had a successful career in sales at U.S. Steel where he started as an Inside Sales Representative and left as a Major Account Sales Representative.

Chuck holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing, from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. He also has certifications for training DISC and Situational Leadership.

Francine Ianetti
Senior Director, Digital Sales Learning, ADP 

Francine leads the Digital Sales Learning Team inside ADP, LLC. In this role she leads a team of 30 learning professionals (program managers, instructional designers, and technical editors) who partner with the various ADP Sales organization to align on strategic priorities, identify business needs that learning can address, collaborate over learning solutions, and create and deploy learning programs to drive Sales success.

Francine has been with ADP for 14 years. She started as an instructional designer within one of the ADP businesses. She moved to World-Wide Sales Operations and quickly advanced to a leadership role in Sales Learning & Leader Development.

Before ADP, Francine worked as a director of Integrated Learning Solutions in the telecommunications industry and led the creation of learning content for the flagship product line. She also designed and developed training, online help, and documentation for telecommunications software systems.

Francine has a Bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology from Montclair State University, and a Master’s degree in Communications from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
