About the Workshop
The life of a 21st century learner is largely influenced by the Social, Mobile and Cloud technology. The emergence of “Analytics and Big data” has transformed the usage of
these technologies and created the SMAC learner. When these new-age learners look for learning, they go to Google, YouTube, TED talks, Khan Academy, and, for the last couple of years, MOOCs! Increasingly, these learners want their learning experiences to match the pace and style of their life.
This discussion shall cover the characteristics of SMAC learner, look at aspects of learning design that influence the SMAC experience and formats of learning. We will also discuss futuristic tools and formats suitable for such learning and education needs.
Who Should Attend
We welcome all workplace learning and organizational development professionals. Additionally, this session is for ANYONE who provides a product or service to a user, client, customer, etc.
About the Presenter
Kshitij (Tij) Nerurkar
Chief Operating Officer, Tata Interactive Systems (TIS)
Tij Nerurkar heads the e-learning and simulations business for Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), the pioneer and a global leader in learning and Performance improvement solutions.
Tij has been with Tata Interactive Systems for over 15 years in diverse capacities such as head of sales for the North America region and before that as the head of Corporate and Government business in USA. He also managed the line of business for corporate e-learning at the Mumbai development center. In 2010, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer, for the E-learning and Simulations business.
Tij holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and an MBA with a Major in Finance from Mumbai University.
Tij has presented at the Society for Advanced Learning Technologies (SALT), the Association for Advanced Collegiate School of Business (AACSB) and at the Marcus Evans annual learning conferences in New York and Philadelphia. Since 2009, Tij has been serving ASTD as a member of the Executive Advisory council.
