About Our Presenter
Jack E. Appleman, APR, CBC, prominent writing instructor and author of the newly released 10 Steps to Successful Business Writing (2nd edition, 2018, ATD Press), is driven by the belief that all working professionals can dramatically improve their writing by following straightforward techniques. His writing workshops, webinars and coaching for organizations such as HBO, Johnson & Johnson, and American Electric Power have consistently earned outstanding evaluations.
In 2015, Jack received the Charles T. Morgan Award from for lifetime excellence in corporate training from ATD’s Northern New Jersey chapter, for which he served as president.
As principal of Successful Business Writing , Jack has been interviewed for top-tier stories about writing, including a The Wall Street Journal article on workplace grammar and a subsequent Journal column on email strategies. He also teaches technical writing at Southern New Hampshire University.
Jack received an accreditation in public relations (APR) certification from the Public Relations Society of America and his Certified Business Communicator (CBC) designation from the Business Marketing Association. Jack earned his B.A. in Communication from Ohio State University and his M.S. in Journalism from Ohio University. He is also studying for his PhD. in Organizational Communication at the State University of New York at Albany..
