About This Event
In this webinar, we will:
- Explore unconscious attitudes that can manifest in interactions in the work place and the various triggers such race, gender, positional hierarchy, situational and environmental.
- Discuss how individuals can become more inclusive by being aware of their own implicit bias.
- Practice how individuals can be mindful to recognize their own implicit biases and ways to remove them.

- Participants are encouraged to take an Implicit Association Test (IAT) prior to the webinar.

About Our Presenters
KALPANA PATEL
Kalpana Patel helps business entrepreneurs and executives helps realize their vision through her services including Operations Management Consulting, Executive Coaching, Leadership Team Training and services.
Enriched with a successful 40 year career in executive leadership roles, she has worked with organizations at all stages in the growth, and successfully delivered in areas of organizational development, succession planning, strategies for growth and profitability, and best practices for operations management. She has helped build enterprise-wide best practices working closely with the C-suite of leadership in a variety of industry verticals, including Telecommunications (working for the Bell System and few incumbents), Global Banking, Cyber-Security and Educational Assessment.
Kalpana earned a Masters in Solid State Physics from Osmania University, India and has taught college physics early in her career. She also holds a Masters in Computer and Information Sciences from NJIT, Newark. She is also a certified leadership coach, speaker and trainer.
Kalpana is a strong community leader currently serving on several non-profit the Boards including - Grounds For Sculpture, Young Audiences of NJ and Eastern PA, National Association Of women Business Owners (NAWBO-SJ) and New Jersey State Museum Foundation.
She has led a Diversity, equity and Inclusion Committee and also serves as the Rotary Foundation Chair at the Robbinsville Hamilton Rotary Club. She is the VP Of Programming for the mid-NJ chapter of the Association of Talent Development (mid-NJ ATD).
JULIET C. HART
Juliet C. Hart specializes in developing the leadership capabilities of scientists and their organizations. She is the principal and founder of Hart & Chin, a company that offers workshops, coaching, and consulting services.
She believes that strengthening the leadership skills of scientists and developing their cultural awareness will make them more effective leaders, who will have a larger impact and create greater value for the organizations they serve.
Previously working as a scientist and with scientists at Johnson & Johnson, she has seen the impact of her work drive employee engagement, increase collaboration, and stimulate innovation across functions.
Juliet established her expertise in learning and development through progressive roles within pharmaceutical giants such as J&J and Bristol-Myers Squibb. In addition, she has obtained management training from the Yale School of Management. She began her journey in drug discovery as a laboratory scientist at small to mid-sized biotech companies and at J&J in San Diego, CA. Juliet earned her Bachelor’s degree from the City University of New York - Hunter College in psychology. There she conducted research in biopsychology as a National Institutes of Health - Scholar Fellow, published papers, contributed to the National Academy of Sciences, and presented at international conferences.
