About the Workshop
Learning through Mobile devices has been discussed for years, but rapid adaption to this new trend only began in the last 2 years. With shorter technology cycles that displace devices almost every six months, we are now in a fast moving learning environment that boldly questions even the very existence of computer based learning that we have seen for many years. Many questions therefore come to mind such as-
-
Is Mobile Learning here to stay?
-
Will learning on a portable device be as engaging as the Apps that we see now on these devices?
-
Can mobile learning help me do my job efficiently?
-
What about information security?
With these and many other questions, how do you strategize in order to bring mobile learning into your organization?
In this interactive discussion, you will learn to:
Define what Mobility in Learning means.
Identify opportunities for bringing mobility in learning in your organization
Appreciate the design factors that need to be considered for a good mobile learning solution
Identify the challenges encountered while implementing mobile learning solution in your organization
The session shall also discuss trends in smart phones, tablets and wearables, and the ergonomics associated with each of these devices to see how they impact learning design.
