About This Event
Power Leadership is an overview of a specialized, program that focuses on the characteristics that are critical for leadership success in business today and identifies the tools needed to aid in their development.
As a high-powered business leader, it is your job to empower the team members in your organization. However, when you're at the top, where the buck stops, there's nobody who is going to take on the job to empower you, so it's your job to empower yourself. This customized program provides a clear overview and instruction for the behaviors an effective leader needs to master and emulate in attaining self-empowerment for business and organizational success.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand and describe the characteristics of an effective leader
- Understand the differences between

- a “boss” and a “leader,”
- a “leader” and a “tyrant,”
- a “manager” and a “leader”
- Describe the types of power bestowed upon individuals and how it is perceived in society and organizations
- Understand the behaviors associated with the Ten Characteristics of Self-Empowerment as presented in the Resiliency Hourglass Model and which ones to develop.

About Our Presenter
Mary Anne Kochut, Managing Director, has been teaching and training executives, business people and students in the characteristics and skills for effective leadership for over 20 years. She brings a diversified and unique approach to leadership and training. She is an author, motivational speaker, executive coach, consultant, trainer and adjunct professor who works with people who are “committed to being extraordinary” and becoming “unstoppable” in living their dreams! These concepts are adapted from her first book Power vs. Perception: Ten Characteristics of Self-Empowerment for Women.
